Brazilian Gisele Bundchen named world's richest model

The Brazilian model has a net worth of $42 million, placing her at the top of the annual list made by Forbes magazine thanks to her lucrative endorsement deals with H&M, Chanel, Pantene and David Yurman.Gisele's eye for design has also increased her income, with her stake in Brazilian footwear company Grendene and her own lingerie labelboth proving profitable investments.

The 33-year-old star's remarkable earnings were be tough to beat since former Victoria's Secret model, Miranda Kerr, came in second place with a mere $7 million.While the Australian beauty boasts Kora Organics beauty line to her name as well as deals with Qantas, David Jones and Mango, her earnings are still seven times less than Gisele's.

Meanwhile, eight out of 10 models on the list are either current Victoria's Secret Angels or have modelled for the lingerie label in the past, proving the lingerie brand's exposure has been profitable for its alumni.
Model of the moment Cara Delevingne was notable by her absence in the top 10, but is likely to climb up the ranks in the future.
